UG101: Uptown Girl
This is a great beginner's class. Students will learn to cut with a rotary cutter, join seams properly and create a beautiful quilt top. This quilt is fat quarter friendly.

Sewing Machine in working order (bring your manual)
Thread, either beige or gray
Bobbins for sewing machine, two or three filled for each class
Sewing machine needles (80/12 microtec)
Pins and Pin Cushion
Scissors and/or nippers
Rotary cutter with new blade
Olfa 6x24 ruler
Seam Ripper
Marking pencil for fabric (recommend mechanical pencil with colored chalk leads)
Highlighter
Glue Stick
Ziploc bags (quart and gallon, several of each)
Uptown Girl Pattern plus copy of pattern to work with in class
*Fabrics needed to make the preferred size quilt top
Notebook for taking notes
Pen or pencil
Any additional sewing supplies you like to use; i.e. light
A willing and creative spirit
I usually work on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I will be happy to help you with fabric selection. However, if not here, any of the employees can help you.
