This is a great beginner's class. Students will learn to how to rotary cut, strip piece, nest seams, and cut and attach borders properly to a quilt center.

Sewing Machine in working order, with power cord and foot pedal (bring your manual, too, if handy)
Piecing thread (50 weight), either beige or gray
Bobbins for sewing machine, one or two filled
Sewing machine needles (80/12 microtec)
Basic Sewing Supplies - pins, small scissors, extra needles, seam ripper, marking pencil, etc
Dancing Star Pattern plus copy of pattern to work with in class
*Fabrics needed to make the Lap size quilt top
Notebook for taking notes
Pen or pencil
